July Specials
July is all about Summer, heat & summer vibes in Berlin. Everybody is out in parks, lakes & canal, thoughts of holidays, travel & beach are getting more & more prominent as well. So, summer focus it is than, but with Japanese undertones! Without further ado, we present you our July Specials (last of the summer, as there will be no August Specials this year):
Let's start with 4 cocktails that are coming back for another hurrah!
- "Mango Mystique", a simple highball of Jamaican rum & Mystic Mango lemonade, a crowd pleaser if you will.
- "Dune Negroni", our driest Negroni variation based on tequila & sake.
- "Archangel", a classic coming from NYC, but with a Berlin twist using Spree Bio Cucumber Gin and Spreetz both produced in Berlin along with Pampello grapefruit aperitif in lieu of generic London dry gin & Aperol.
- "Singularity", a surprise fan favourite in May, a complex concoction of gin, grapefruit aperitif, honey liqueur and Zyankali absinthe.
I am also breaking a form & presenting you with 3 sour or sourish cocktails: "Green Thunder", a light and playfull mix of cachaca with sour lemon aperitif & new lemonade by Aqua Monaco with Basil & Bergamot flavours; "Acid Venom", an herbal sour based on Luxardo's Del Santo (formerly Sant'Antonio di Paduva) herbal liqueur; "2 B Sour", a 90's throwback based on bourbon infused with a bit of jalapeno, bunch of sour lemon aperitif & some allspice liqueur.
3 cocktails with heavy far East Asian influence: "Momo" based on many forms of fruity and non-fruity sakes from Ile Four; "Totoro", a marriage of North Swedish forest gin with Japanese shochu; "Western Blues", a mix of East & West marrying Tito's Handmade vodka with sake and pandan liqueur.
Lastly, 3 very "Redrum" style cocktails: "Sweet Mother-In-Law", based on rum & Latte di Suocera licoro, sweet, boozy and unforgiving; "Happy Kizil", based on kizil (cornelian cherry) from Georgia infused in mix of vodka and gin with some rhum agricole; "Post-Midsommar", a twist on our orginal "Midsommar" cocktail taking. it into grapefruit direction.
Anyway, come by and don't miss the explosion of flavours, aromas & colours that you might not ever try anywhere else again. Few cocktails will be highly limited in numbers this month.
